Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' debut female singer with Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The label released her first album titled Pho in the month of October 2016, and she was able getting noticed. Her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012 with her release of her debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. She continued to upload her tracks online through 2014, including the independently-released single Bound. The song Sweat it included on Omen's Elephant Eyes album which dropped on July 21, 2015. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's references. Then, later in the calendar, her songs was played throughout Dreamville. The announcement of her decision to sign with Dreamville Records was made on December 8th. Backseat, a track she performed together with Cozz on her Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. On October 21 2016 she released her debut EP entitled Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017 in which she was accompanied by EarthGang. in 2018, the singer-songwriter guested on two tracks featuring EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas, on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018, which was released on July 16th, 2018. A music video then released in September. On November 9 she released two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. In November 2013 she dropped No One and Pedigree. She appeared with Cole in the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16th, and she released the song in a solo version to her first album. In February, her music video to this track was launched. It has had over three million YouTube views in just one week. In December of 2018 the singer was a part of the From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
